The Human Target series continued on until issue #21 in 2005. Peter Milligan remained as the writer for the entire run. Javier Pulido and Cliff Chiang alternated as series artist: Pulido illustrated issues #11 to #13 and #18, and Chiang illustrated issues #14 to #16 and #19 to #21. Cameron Stewart filled in for issue #17. These issues have yet to be collected or reprinted.

A one-shot special from 1991 called The Human Target (subtitled The Mack Attack Contract), by writer Mark Verheiden and artists Rick Burchett and Dick Giordano, pre-dates the contents of this publication and has yet to be reprinted. The special was published to promote the ABC television series starring Rick Springfield that was based on the character.
Before that, the character appeared in back-up stories in various issues of Action Comics in the early 1970s, and later in back-up stories in various issues of Brave and the Bold as well as Detective Comics in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Those stories have yet to be collected or reprinted.
