Synopsis from publisher:
DC Comics is proud to present the second volume of the comics classic THE SANDMAN in Absolute format!

The second of four beautifully designed slipcased volumes, THE ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOL. 2 collects issues 21-39 of THE SANDMAN and features remastered coloring on all 19 issues as well as brand-new inks on THE SANDMAN #34 by the issue’s original penciller, Colleen Doran, and a host of bonus material, including two never-before-reprinted stories by Gaiman (one prose and one illustrated), a complete reproduction of the never-before-reprinted one-shot THE SANDMAN: A GALLERY OF DREAMS, and the complete script and pencils by Gaiman and Kelley Jones for Chapter Two of “Season of Mists” from THE SANDMAN #23.

Notes:
This over-sized hard cover publication is the second in this series, reprinting the next nineteen issues of the second Sandman comic book series. It is essentially a recolored or “remastered” version of the contents of The Sandman Vol. 4: Season of Mists, The Sandman Vol. 5: A Game of You and The Sandman Vol. 6: Fables and Reflections but without those publication’s introductions. It also omits issues #40 and #50, as well as Sandman Special #1 and the Sandman story from Vertigo Preview #1 from The Sandman Vol. 6: Fables and Reflections, which appear in The Absolute Sandman Vol. 3.
All material reprinted in this publication was written by Neil Gaiman. Issue #21 was illustrated by Mike Dringenberg and Malcolm Jones III. Issues #22 and #23 were drawn by Kelley Jones and Malcolm Jones III. Issue #24 was drawn by Malcolm Jones III and P. Craig Russell. Issue #25 was drawn by Matt Wagner and Russell. Kelley Jones returned for issue #26, inked by George Pratt, and issue #27, inked by Dick Giordano. Issue #28 was drawn by Dringenberg and Pratt. Issue #29 was drawn by Stan Woch and Giordano. Issue #30 was drawn by Talbot and Woch. Issues #31 to #37 were illustrated by Shawn McManus, except for issue #34 by Colleen Doran and a portion of #36 by Bryan Talbot and Stan Woch. Issue #38 was drawn by Duncan Eagleson and Vince Locke. Issue #39 was illustrated by John Watkiss. Vertigo: Winter’s Edge #1 was illustrated by John Bolton. The slipcase cover was created by Dave McKean.
The following artists contributed to the one-shot A Gallery of Dreams: Dave McKean, Matt Wagner, Barron Storey, George Pratt, Terry Moore, Teri S. Wood, Brian Bolland, Shane Oakley, Paul Lee, Craig Hamilton, Eddie Campbell, Rick Berry, Michael Zulli, Geof Darrow, Simon Bisley, Jamie Hewlett, Mark Chiarello, Alex Ross, Bill Koeb, Mike Mignola, Malcolm Jones III, Kelley Jones, Jon J.
